"A Digital Kick"
Thursday, December 5, 2019, 5:30 to 6:30 pm
Guided tour with Dr. Stefan Scholz, Catholic Academy Rabanus Maurus, Frankfurt
Analogous experiences of nature – are they boring, compared with digitally edited images of nature which seem more attractive to the viewer than what is provided by nature itself, because the digital medium has come to dominate everything, determining the entirety of human perception?
The artificial is perceived as natural, the artistic becomes reality. Is nature subjugated to human control in digitization once and for all? Will mankind be vanquished by nature because the digital element has alienated it from nature?
Questions for art – questions for ourselves.
Fee: 4 € plus regular admission
