“Of Bees and Humans” – A Journey to Europe’s Beekeepers
Wednesday, September 11, 7 pm
Ulla Lachauer in conversation with Ulrike Schneiberg and a moderator
How people treat bees is a seismograph for the state of our world. But who are the beekeepers? – Ulla Lachauer has travelled many regions in Europe, speaking to beekeepers. Her explorations range from the island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea to the Pyrenees and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. Her book assembles 14 portraits of passionate beekeepers. In conversation, she talks about her journeys and about the question: “What can a beekeeper tell us about nature and society?”
