“Crawlers & Scuttlers – The Wonderful World of Insects”
Wednesday, August 21, 7 pm
Michael Quast, Fliegende Volksbühne, and Olaf Pyras, Percussion
We detest and mystify them. They produce poison, cooperate in highly complex societies, or kill their closest relatives. More than 80 percent of all species on earth are insects. Could all that soon be over? – Michael Quast takes a poetic approach to this catastrophe, reciting texts by the insect researcher Jean-Henri Fabre and poems by Goethe, Heine, Morgenstern & Co. He is joined by the percussionist Olaf Pyras, a specialist in New Music and sound experiments of all kinds. (In German.)
